It is an older building so the only issue we had was our toilet leaked from the bottom some.

Landscaping everywhere makes you feel removed from the downtown craziness. My room was quiet, cool too cool, I had to adjust the thermostat , and comfortable. I could have moved in I loved it so much, and the staff was very helpful. The salt water pools are great for light swimming, soaking, and day drinking. Pros: The Marker is a new build hotel in historic downtown Key West. It has a clean, modern feel with colors of white and blue. It should be a comped night no questions asked for what we went through. Checking in and then bringing luggage back over was a little scary. Same with crossing street for breakfast. Cons: I didn't think the linens were really up to the standards of an expensive hotel. There was a plastic like cover on the mattress which I couldn't stand. The staff gave me an extra comforter to cover it which made it a lot better. The pillows were hard. We had one bar of soap to share between the shower and 2 sinks. The window blinds were cheap and didn't cover the window adequately, and so much light came through from the security light that we couldn't sleep. We covered it with paper after the first night.
